FLOOD RESPONSE & RESILIENCE

In 2023 and 2024 (and 2025!) NEKO organized neighbors for localized flood recovery efforts. From this, we’ve started Resilience Hubs across the NEK in various stages of development. The goal of these hubs is to have community meals, mutual aid networks, skill shares, and cross-hub conversations to strengthen regional relationships to mobilize for the next disaster.

BUILDING RESILIENCE HUBS

From what we’ve learned in flood recovery, and the every-day crises we’re seeing across our community, we’re building up Resilience Hubs to organize neighbors during “sunny skies” ahead of upcoming crises.
